Ventilator Care in Chippewa Falls

Located in the heart of the Chippewa Falls medical community since 1987, our 31-bed Regional Vent Center is the only state-approved ventilator dependent skilled nursing center in the Chippewa Valley and one of only six in Wisconsin.

Supported by a higher staff ratio and innovative technology, we care for patients living with advanced, chronic respiratory needs and complex medical conditions, including IVs, tube feedings, complex wound care, TPN, and CoughAssist. We have a strong history of weaning patients from ventilators and helping them return home whenever possible.

Feel confident knowing you are being cared for by an experienced, multidisciplinary care team that includes a board-certified pulmonologist; nurse practitioner; 24-hour respiratory therapist coverage; and nursing and therapy professionals with specialized respiratory and ventilator training.

Whether your stay at our nursing home is short-term or long-term, you will appreciate comfortable, spacious accommodations and receive personalized care by skilled nurses and certified nursing assistants twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We invest heavily in our employees and equipment, so you receive the most advanced care and progressive treatment.

Emergency care and specialty services are close by. There is an accessible indoor passage from our campus to HSHS St. Joseph's Hospital and Marshfield Clinic. In addition, other area medical clinics are located within our building.

On-Site Clinic Services

Avoid the hassle of transportation and inclement weather, as well as reduce your exposure to illness. While residing short-term or long-term at Dove Healthcare - Regional Vent Center, you can elect to use our on-site physician services. We collaborated with a local medical clinic to have a physician and NP provide on-site primary care services and address concerns or medical needs that do not require a visit out to a community clinic or emergency room.

On-site visits may include exams; order writing / clarification; coordination of care; nursing direction; and referrals to heart failure clinics, anticoagulation clinics, palliative care programs, and other ancillary providers to enhance consistency of care. The cost of the visit is covered by your insurance or Medicare coverage (exactly the same as if you went to the clinic). Outcomes may include decreased need for office visits; improved response time to medical needs; and reduced admissions to the hospital.

If you elect to use this service, the physician will become your primary medical provider for the duration of your stay. Upon discharge, you will resume care with your community primary care physician. They will receive a summary of the care you received during your stay with us from our physician. Physical Therapy and Speech Therapy for Parkinson's Disease and Other Neurological Diseases

Let us help you achieve your goals! Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT) is a standardized treatment protocol administered individually in 16, one-hour sessions over one month for out-patients or in-patients. Treatments are intensive and complex; however, they are accompanied by easy to understand instructions. Treatment promotes self-awareness of increasing and maintaining vocal loudness and movements. Daily homework practice and carryover exercises help individuals develop life-long habits. Learn more.
